About Us

Since May 1983, The National Association of Coffee Exporters, ANECAFE, is a civil law entity and private, nonprofit and legal personality recognized by the Ecuadorian State. The Association, in their own rights, is apolitical and not involved in religious affairs.  It is therefore the oldest coffee trade organization in Ecuador.

Which are our main goals?

Capacitación a CaficultoresGathering, organizing and supporting coffee exporters, participate actively working with the Goverment, Production Chambers and all who have interference in this activity, in any study or resolution on financial operations, production, marketing and coffee export, tending to maintain a policy that establishes the more favorable conditions for the activity.

 

Its first Chairman and founder is Mr. Hugo Balda Cucalón and its founder members: Mr. Francisco Merino (+), Ramiro Ontaneda, Ovidio Mora, Roberto Duncan, Jaime Delgado, Vincent Keller, Edmundo Avila, Francisco Bermeo Humberto Garcia, Hugo Vera and Fernando Domínguez (+). From its inception until September 2004 served the position of Chief Engineer Pablo Delgado Alava, from November 2004 until September 2005 he replaced in office Mr. Alberto Larco Vera and from October 2005 to present Mr. LíderVelez De La Cruz.

 

ANECAFE was present at the foundation and signed the Constitutive Act of the Association of Producing Countries
Coffee (APPC) in Brasilia, Brazil, in 1993 seeking recovery of prices through the supply control.
Familia Productora seleccionando caféAnecafe drafted the Special Bill Coffee Sector that was given to Atty. Jaime Nebot Saadi in 1994, which later became Republic Act through the process before the National Congress. With It was organized COFENAC, National Coffee Council based in Manta.

 99.9% of coffee exports beans and 100% of processed coffee are made by ANECAFE members.
